HISTORY OF THE HOTEL BUILDING
  • The building in which the hotel is located is of cultural and historical value and is included in the Unified State Register of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
  • In 1879, brothers Grigory and Pavel Simonov erected a five-story stone house (one side of the facade of the building faces Zagorodny Prospekt, the other side faces Troitskaya Street (since 1929 Rubinstein Street), construction work was carried out in accordance with the approved project of Academician N.P. Basin under his leadership in 1879-1880.
  • From 1887 to 1891, Anton Grigorievich Rubinstein, an outstanding composer, conductor, pianist, founder and first director of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Russia's first higher musical educational institution, lived in the house on Troitskaya Street.
  • In 1894, famous and honorable citizens of St. Petersburg lived in the apartment building.
  • In 1905, the house hosted a meeting of members of the Central Committee of the RSDLP and delegates of the first conference of the RSDLP, which was attended by V.I. Lenin.
  • In the 1910s, among the residents of the house were Academician A.A. Carbonnier, chairman of the supreme disciplinary presence of the Senate, Privy Councilor I.I. Rosing. The house housed a tailor's workshop, a manufacturing trade, a grain trade, a watch shop, and a fruit shop.
  • Since 2004, a modern hotel has been located in the building at 9 Zagorodny Prospekt, and the hotel rooms have preserved elements of decoration of historical and cultural value.
